Everything is managed from the portal — no app to install, and the board updates over Wi-Fi the moment you save. Here's how the pieces fit together and how to tune them.
No — a single board showing all of today's content is free forever. PulseBoard Plus unlocks multiple displays plus premium content (crypto, stocks, calendar feeds, animations, and pregame odds).
Power the board on and it creates its own "PulseBoard-Setup" Wi-Fi network. Join it from your phone, pick your home Wi-Fi, and the board shows a short claim code. Enter that code in the portal and it's yours.
To move it to a new network later, hold the reset button while powering on to re-run setup.
Yes, with PulseBoard Plus — every board is managed from the same portal, each with its own content and appearance.
Your content playlist — an ordered list of rules on the Content tab. The board reads it top to bottom and shows the first rule that has something on right now. So a rule for your team sits above "any live game," which sits above the clock.
Drag a row by its handle to reorder. Priority is the whole idea: put what matters most at the top.
Add a Sports (live) rule, pick the league and your team, and the board shows their game whenever they're playing. Leave the team on "Any game" to show whatever's live in that league.
Add both if you want live games to take over automatically and fall back to the upcoming slate when nothing's on.
A rule marked with the moon is only shown when nothing else in your list has content. It's how you say "show the clock and weather once the games are over" without those cards ever interrupting a live game.
By default the board shows the single top rule that has content. Turn on "Rotate through everything that's on" (Content tab) and it cycles through every rule that's available right now — live games, weather, an upcoming slate, and so on.
With rotation on, the "Show each for" slider sets the default time every card holds the screen.
Need one card quicker or slower than the rest? Each rule row has its own "show for N s" box that overrides the default — e.g. flip through a long upcoming slate at 4 seconds while holding a live scoreboard at 15. Leave it blank to use the default.
That's the pregame window. Upcoming games only appear once they're within a set number of hours of first pitch — so an early-morning board reads as "off-hours" (clock/weather) instead of listing games that are still ten hours away.
Set it on the Content tab: "Hide upcoming games starting more than [N] hours out." The default is 4 hours; set it to 0 to always show them, or raise it if you like more lead time.
Yes. A game that starts in the evening and runs into the small hours stays on your board as a live game until it actually ends, rather than flipping to tomorrow's schedule at midnight.
They show soonest-first, and only once they're inside your pregame window. With rotation on, an "Upcoming games" rule cycles through the whole day's slate one at a time.
An optional moneyline on upcoming games, shown as a consensus of major sportsbooks. Turn it on under Appearance. A line only appears once the books have actually posted one for that game, so some early or minor matchups may show without odds until they open. It's for display only — not betting advice.
The board fetches each logo once and caches it, so it draws instantly after the first time. Right after a fresh update a logo may show as the team's abbreviation for a moment while it downloads — then it sticks.
Add a Crypto or Stocks rule and pick up to four symbols. The board shows each with its price and daily change, green or red. Market data may be delayed and is for personal display only, not trading.
Yes — add a Calendar rule and paste a public ICS/iCal link (Apple, Google, Outlook, a sports schedule, any .ics feed). The board shows your next few events with when they start.
Short looping graphics that play full-screen. Pick one from the library and drop it into your playlist. More designs are added over time — and everything shipped is original or licensed art.
Yes — Custom Content lets you push your own messages, metrics and monitoring status to a board over a secure HTTPS API. Create a source in the portal, get an API token, and any system that can make an outbound request (Home Assistant, a monitoring tool, a script) can publish to it. See the Custom Content API docs.
The live preview in the portal updates as you change these, so you can see it before it hits the panel.
Continuously, at no extra cost. Boards keep their software current over Wi-Fi, so features and fixes arrive on their own.
Usually one of three things: nothing is live and your upcoming games are still outside the pregame window (see above); every content rule is empty right now so a fallback took over; or the games for that day simply haven't started. Lower the pregame-window hours or add an "Upcoming games" rule if you want to see games sooner.
Within seconds. Every change you save in the portal is pushed straight to the board over Wi-Fi; there's nothing to reboot or refresh.
